The Wind Street eaterie will be offering their full traditional breakfast menu of eggs benedict or triple stack pancakes or double sausage and egg muffin free to customers in return for a donation to the Trust set up in memory of Ray Gravell.
This will be third charity breakfast hosted by the restaurant chain in aid of the Trust, following hugely successful events in Llanelli and Carmarthen last year which raised more than £3,000.
The Ray Gravell and Friends Charitable Trust was set up following Ray’s death in 2007 and has raised more than £500,000 in aid of charities and organizations throughout West Wales, including the Maggies Centre in Swansea and organizations such as Swansea’s Special Needs project, the British Heart Foundation, Diabetes, The Stroke Association, Macmillan Cancer Support, and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
A spokeswoman for Frankie and Bennys said they were delighted to adopt the Ray Gravell Trust as its beneficiary for the charity breakfast as it was an ideal way of raising money for excellent local causes as well as remembering a true Welsh hero.
“We aim to raise as much as possible for Ray Gravell & Friends Charitable Trust at this event so we are inviting everyone to come along, have a great time, and at the same time make a donation to charity. The event will take place from 7am until 12pm and a voucher booklet will be given to every guest to take away, “
The breakfast event is open to everyone – the more the merrier – and advance booking is advised by calling the restaurant on 01792 461774 or Gemma Dawkins on 07554331970
